Kinesis Wheels closes its doors today for good

Thats right - no joke - Kinesis has been bought out and they are closing their doors for good - Blinged out wheel manufacturer Lexani has bought the designs, the logo rights, and the wheel stock of what was in the Kinesis Vista location and they will be coming out with their own brand of "competition style" wheels sometime next year. Be intresting to see the Lexani booth this year at SEMA considering last year they had about a 12 car display from what I remember.

my inside source says he's not sure what Lexani has in mind with the initial designs - the logo has been changed to read Kinsis (no "E" in the logo anymore)

you mean owner - kinesis facility is not as big as some people think, it seems just - the owner decided it was time to retire i guess...hes been in the game over 20+ years tired of all the BS with the business - going to be intresting to see where all the Porsche guys are going to go for competition / track wheels

im with bugzy on the design and looks of thier wheels definately top quality - got a chance to meet the Kinesis higher ups last year @ SEMA cool people

i met peter@kinesis, and he looks like a straightforward kinda guy

he sounded like he loved what he did, and he loved design and engineering

to me, it sounds like what brad says, he probably just needs to move on

his daughter works there too, but im sure its a lot of work for a company that is run by family to keep up with companies like HRE and iforged and others

they maybe the only company i consider better than BBS, at least that id sport

That is sad as Kinesis was one of my favorite wheel brands. I can't imagine this is going to be for the better.

damn, i think that ruins my game plan when it comes to acquiring Kinesis wheels for my old M3. Looks like i'll have to find used ones that someone doesn't mind parting with. b@st@rds!! wtf, mann....ain't no way Lexani is going to carry the torch...great, now i have to look forward to seeing 28" and 30" chromed out wheels with the name "kinesis" etched into'em...mann.

I've met the owner of Lexani a few times, he's a real cool guy, dosn't seem the type to totally bling out another wheel brand.
