    Re: bluetooth setup

I have it in the new BMW, don't know if it is the same . . . do you have NAV or anything. I do mine through the setup menu. You will find a screen that says activate phone. THen make sure you phone is searching for a device. when it finds it, just use a generic code like 0000 and then enter it on your BMW and then it is paired . . . but that is with the new BMW set-up, I'm not sure how it used to be, or if has changed.

    Re: bluetooth setup

Well The dealer can print you out instructions, the kit doesn't come with them, i can't physicaly link the website to you because it won't let outside links work. Its not a fun job, and requires a retrofit with our tester to get it to work properly.

It varries by car, but you need to remove the TCU if your car had assisit, if not put the ULF module in its place on top of the CD changer brackets behind the carpet on the left side of the trunk

Remove the center console, install the bluetooth paring button, and the blue tooth antenna by the Ebrake handle base, you have to dig for the connectors

install the microphone up by the sunroof switch

Then the vehicle has to be coded at the dealer to recognize it.

    Re: bluetooth setup

E46 is a way different setup than the E9x cars. IMO its a pain in the ass, and they usually don't work very well, also you need a BMW approved phone to pair.

    Re: bluetooth setup

if you give me the part number off of the kit, I can look up the instructions and see what you're dealing with

    Re: bluetooth setup

I have no info on your bluetooth, I would have to get the part # of the kit, so shoot it over when you get a chance. BTW your car has an open recall for programming of the DME for OBDII, basicaly so independant shops cheap scan tools can read out more fault codes.
