The history of Scrappy

I totaly let this slip my mind yesturday!!

OCT 3rd 2005 was the day Scrappy was officialy Concieved (placed order)!!

Yesturday marked the One year mark of the begaining of my MINI!!

and then...

Scrappy had a very eventfull weekend (thanks to Wes and Kellie)

- Rear Sway bar is in!!!!!
- Rear wiper deleted!!!
- Stock tires are on!! Read this thread to know why
- Clutch is back to nornal ?!?!?!


About the clutch
On our way up the 18 highway, I was in fourth gear and i need to down shift to third. I put my foot on the clutch, pulled it out of 4th, and couldnt get it in to any gear!!! The petel sunk in to the floor. OMG,,, what the Hell happend!

So i took my foot off the clutch and put it back in and then i could shove it in to 3rd. WHY?!? I can shift now but my gears became rather tight and hard to get it. they stoped being smooth. SO i parked the car over night and the morning the clutch felt stiffer again, gears still felt ruff, but it was drive able.

As we kept diveing the home, the clutch got better and better. Now its back to normal again..

Larry said it sounded like my slave-cyclinder might be going

after taking it to the dealer..

And the verdict is......


Bad Slave cylinder!!!!!!!

Now i got to leave the car here over night and hopefully it will be done tommorw.

Tuesday, i'm taking to mini in to the dealer to check the clutch/slave cyclinder. AND taking the bent wheels in to get them fixed!

I bought the short shifter I've been eye'ing for the past month. I Duno if i'll keep that knob for long since i have the hott on i wanted already. I picked up the full kit , Short shifter, knob, and Shift Well Cover.

I really like the look of the set up, I saw it inthe photos that Griff posted a while back. I cant wait to get it.

The shift rod moves within the housing of the fulcrum, so when you shorten the length in the car by up to 1 inch you lengthen the shaft below the fulcrum allowing for a shorter shift. The Craven Speed Shift Knob it lathe crafted, by our master technician, out of 6061 aluminum. Just like every one of our products, each knob is made carefully and is hand inspected for defects. We put 3 comfort rings on it, which make the knob natural to hold in many positions. The rings also allow you to shift after you car has become too hot or cold. You’ll find that it can only be described as especially ergonomically excellent.

Also, I cancelled my order on the Promini controll arms, they are still on back order and they offered me their other thicker arms, for the same deal since i've been waiting for a long time.

YAY! Im all most there with what i want to do for my suspention for now. After this Its time to play with the engine!

Controll arms are in! and i did about 90% of it myself. Took me about 3 hours to do. That's including the 45 mins it took me to go to sears just to get a 3/8 exstintion so i can reach the top bolt. But I win! and no blood this time either!

Just installed the color matched tail's and third brake light YAY! I have one bad LED light for the light so i'm a little un-even on the lighting but my reverse lights still look good as hell! haha

I'll have to take photos tomorrow..since i forgot the camera

OK..He's been painted!! The belt line is no longer just vynle. YAY! no more peeling corners!

And i also ripped off the rear and front emblems and sprayed them black!

and I debadged the "cooper S" on the boot too!

i'll shoot some photo to in the morning

only thing left to paint are the door handles

Ans yes!! its still RED!! ahahah.. i love my red... but now its way darker and alittle more eviler

OO and i need a mu logo for the front emblem..lol

so here's my project for today.

A: that strut bar was a Biotch to take off. It was stuck! so i had to mess with it to get it off.

The intake only took a few mins to put in.

Then i decided to fix my damper. gowd that little thing is such a biotch to out in. Now its in there better and with a little bit of lock tite.

I buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz so much louder now

Scrappy is Rattle free!

As some may know and have heard, the resonator on the magnaflow went bad and started with a little rattle. but over the past month, it grew louder and well i had enough of the sound. So i took the car in to the same muffler guy that installed it and had him whack off the resonator and replace it with pipe.. lol

Scrappy doesn't sound like he has a penny in the exhaust any more. AND its no louder than before... and the guy only did it for $30 bucks!

DIY Weekend!!!

YAY! ME!!

I've been at wes' and Kellies all day and we ripped out head lights out.

My head lights have been "joey" modded and are back on the car. Its fun to bake your head lights.. lol

FYI- a friend of mine did them on his car and he told me how to do them.. this is his car.. the sexies mini in the world

With my head lights, I found a "weak spot" where the headlight washer was, not a glue weak spot, it was a place where i could get a screwdriver/ flat blade between the lens and the houseing, I used a flat peice of metel and a screwdrivers to keep open what i already pulled apart, I just worked my way around the light. I didnt have to bake them to get them apart, I did bake them to put them back together so that they would seal right.

Kellies, head lights have a glass piece that looks like a half of a circle, that was conected to the center crome houseing. That had to be removed from her's
