    - Clutch is back to nornal ?!?!?!

    About the clutch
On our way up the 18 highway, I was in fourth gear and i need to down shift to third. I put my foot on the clutch, pulled it out of 4th, and couldnt get it in to any gear!!! The petel sunk in to the floor. OMG,,, what the Hell happend!

So i took my foot off the clutch and put it back in and then i could shove it in to 3rd. WHY?!? I can shift now but my gears became rather tight and hard to get it. they stoped being smooth. SO i parked the car over night and the morning the clutch felt stiffer again, gears still felt ruff, but it was drive able.

As we kept diveing the home, the clutch got better and better. Now its back to normal again..

Larry said it sounded like my slave-cyclinder might be going

after taking it to the dealer..

    Re: The history of Scrappy

I bought the short shifter I've been eye'ing for the past month. I Duno if i'll keep that knob for long since i have the hott on i wanted already. I picked up the full kit , Short shifter, knob, and Shift Well Cover.

I really like the look of the set up, I saw it inthe photos that Griff posted a while back. I cant wait to get it.

The Craven Speed quick shift kit is a complete overhaul of your current MINI setup. Take this opportunity to make some Marvelous additions to your super cooper. We’ll hook you up with the Rod o' Steel Adjustable Shifter with shape shifting abilities, and its trusty gadget laden sidekick the Shift Well Cover, and you won’t soon forget the power punch of their Wonder Knob.

The Craven Speed adjustable short shifter allows you the option to adjust the throw from 0% to 45% shorter than stock. This adjustment can be made quickly and easily, while you are in the car! Just grab the collar and twist it loose. While its open, move the shifter to the length you desire then tighten it up again. No tools required! The shift rod moves within the housing of the fulcrum, so when you shorten the length in the car by up to 1 inch you lengthen the shaft below the fulcrum allowing for a shorter shift. The advantages of a shorter throw are well documented, but the leverage required by the driver is increased as the throw is shortened. Now you will not have to give that kind of effort during a traffic jam. This quality part is hybrid designed and CNC machined from 1144 "stresspruf", black oxide steel and 6061 Aluminum. The Craven Speed aluminum Shift Well Cover works well in the Mini both mechanically and aesthetically. This easy to install, and easy to clean component will look great in either brushed aluminum or anodized black, and coming soon, chrome to match your factory chrome package. (The chromes are in short supply and are hand chrome polished to ensure the same quality we provide in our parts. You can reserve one today so you are one of the first and few to receive one.) This non-boot is the perfect complement to the Craven Speed Short Shifter. The Shift Well Cover allows the driver to adjust the shift throw without having to feel around inside the boot, and also reveals the great looks of the anodized shifter main pivot.

The Craven Speed Shift Knob it lathe crafted, by our master technician, out of 6061 aluminum. Just like every one of our products, each knob is made carefully and is hand inspected for defects. We put 3 comfort rings on it, which make the knob natural to hold in many positions. The rings also allow you to shift after you car has become too hot or cold. You’ll find that it can only be described as especially ergonomically excellent.
Also, I cancelled my order on the Promini controll arms, they are still on back order and they offered me their other thicker arms, for the same deal since i've been waiting for a long time.
