    German cars...... German Shepherds

They go hand in hand! I have always loved German Shepherds, and would love to adopt a rescue dog when we move to a bigger house with a backyard deemed big dog size, and one probably will stand up to my 30# alley cat. I ran into these guys out walking their dogs, stopped chatted and played with the dogs, they have rescued some from as far as Hong Kong! They are in Newport Beach. If you would like to give one a good home, volunteer, etc, here is their website, http://www.gsroc.org/index.asp if not then check out their site to get them some traffic. My buddy has a nice one that rides shotgun in his MK5 GTI

they are extremely loyal to the owner or, Shepherd if you will from the lineage of when they were in the country helping the shepherd with his flock. Great dogs.

I've had G-Sheps all my life and all have been rescue dogs. My last one came from gsroc. They are a great organization with a lot of great people who really care about all their dogs. They won't place them with just anyone. As mike says, they are very loyal, but also strong willed. They need lots of exercise or they'll act out and become destructive. They will also push you for alpha status, some a little more than others.

For anyone interested in buying or adopting a G-Shep, I highly recommend you research the breed so you know what you are getting into. Especially if you've never owned a G-Shep before.

We have 3 dogs--Toy Fox Terrier, Jack Russell mix and German Shepherd. We also have a deaf cat we found as an abandoned kitten.

Here's my shep Amber at 10 months:
