awwwwwwwww yeah!
yeah mine had a super clean interior too. i just got all the seatbelts dialed in recently. the back ones were giving me trouble so i totally disassembled them and now they're fine. the engine was the worst though. it's a 2.0 16V as seen in the pictures, but it got a total rebuild from the ground up. i might get a mk2 jetta for a daily driver once i sell my mk4, in which case i'm considering swapping my 16V that's almost done into that and taking whatever is in the jetta (hopefully another 16V) and rebuilding the internals and getting it ready for a big turbo to put in the gti.
one day daniel, we are putting my 1.8t in that mk2 when i get my 3.2 BiT![]()
offer taken
i'm gonna go have another look at the progress on the motor today while my muffler place across the street puts my ish back on. bolts and headstuds shouldn't be taking this long, but i had a dream last night that included my assembled motor in it, so i have a good feeling about it
when do you want to trade wheels for a weekend?
i would of said this weekend.
but we can always do it next weekend or something.
--UPDATE--
so..... it didn't make it to the big gtg haha.. no biggie though. as the meet grew closer and closer, i knew it was too far of a stretch.
anyways, my point for this update is as follows:
my connecting rods finally got finished up yesterday, so i picked them up today along with the rest of the parts that needed balancing and dropped them off at the balance shop. according to the balancing guy, they should be done friday, but as i've found with dealing with other car guys, i should give plenty of time for overhead.
in the meantime, i've found front fogs and turns along with a brand new set of fuel lines, all for a more than decent price, and those should be out this week as well. i'm tired of jinxing the progress of this car, so i'll say that it should be out of the garage sometime in the next year. but seriously, anytime before christmas will be awesome.
since i've done almost everything i can on the car up to this point, i've been concentrating on the mk4 recently, which is going in to the body shop for a few days next week to have the rocker panel repaired (stupid oem jack) along with a pair of sideskirts and a front lip that both need paint.
i've also changed my mind about the purpose the mk2 will serve once it's on the road since the mk4 is just about to roll over 80K and seems to gain a new squeak or rattle every week. i'll go into that sometime later since i have an angel game to get ready for, but stay tuned for more since the engine looks like it will finally be finished.
Update!?!?!
