    Re: best whey protein?

I liked Meso-Tech and Nitro-Tech by Muscle Tech.

Meso is getting harder to come by. It is protein but it has a lil' more than just whey protein, same with Nitro. But I mixed the strawberry flavor with orange juice and it was pretty good! That and creatine occasionally is what I was taking when I went from 160lbs to 199lbs over the course of about 10 months.

Now I am trying Muscle Max's Whey Protein. It's a good price, tastes pretty good, and mixes well with a shaker. I've grown fond of the Stawberry flavors... they seem to have just enough flavor but not too over bearing.

I had this question about 2 years ago. I forget now what the exact answer was but I ended up buying the stuff at Costco (EAS I believe) for protein/fat/calories versus cost. I bought it until about 6 months ago when I got a bad batch that taste off. Costco took it back with no issues. I didn't replace it as I didn't have "time" to work out any longer anyways. When I get back to schedule I would buy it again.

    Re: best whey protein?

hands down the "BEST" is Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard Whey.

but we also have to realize some dont have that kind of money.

so i regularly use the body fortress stuff from target...$12 for 2 gallons = win! for BB'ing on a Budget! its cheap has 26grams of protein per 33gram scoop mixes well and tastes good when blended with milk. and it gets results. just not quite as drastic as the ON Gold Standard when i took that.

depending on your workouts look into some Casein protein for beddytime digestion.

i used the EAS stuff but its good as more of a post workout or through the day thing. for digestion and protein absorption immediately after a workout go for whey. 30 mins after a workout your body absorbs the most protein and amino acids it can take so throwing in something that digests fast just means you get more protein after a workout in that same time slot.
