its hard for a regular paint with clear coat, its easy with satin color... say satin black etc. I did it on my roof and it came out pretty even with Home depot spray can.

Theres technique you need to know with using rattle cans for a decent job. long sweeping motions with the can 8-12" away, it will take a few attemps. you want to go side/side, then up/down.

pretty much the tips that come on rattle cans suck for large areas, you need something that will spray wide (fat cap).

who says you can learn from graffitti

If you are interested in an actual paint job, I can recommend Pacific Coast Auto Body on Miramar Place, off Miramar Road. They painted my R32 after it got keyed all the way around, and they're currently restoring my Corrado. Good shop - high quality, low cost, honest family owned/run business. 858-452-7200

I'm sure they are honest and charge a reasonable price -- but this is all relative, it can get very expensive, very fast.

I got a quote for some road rash on the front bumper and leading edge of the hood. Would you believe the shop gave me a quote of over $2900? Needless to say, I thanked the guy for his time but we both know I will never ever return to that shop.

I'm more likely to touch up those scars with a brush, than to sand it down and do a respray. It may look like crap up close, but it can't look worse than it does now.
