When life gives you lemons, you paint that shit gold
So here is what I like and dont like about the car
Likes:
- The stock stereo of the C63 with the upgraded media package is light years ahead of the stock one for the 2005 E55 (that might seem obvious, but the stereo is so good, it wasnt that much of a noticeable quality dropoff from my after market stereo -- minus the subwoofer)
- The front seats are hella comfy and sporty
- I love the headunit, the voice activated navi and bluetooth
- the exhaust rumbles when it starts up and is also loud when im hitting it on the streets and freeways (note, I got a Powerchip ECU, so the HP and TQ increased...and after the ECU I notice that the car rumbled at lower RPMs than before)
- the car just feels more nimble on freeways and sharp turns
- the stock wheels are much better than the stock E55 and are actually pretty nice in my opinion
- the brakes in the C63 are much more sensitive and I dont need to push them as hard as I did with the E55
- Decent leg room in the back, even with friends that are 6'3" and up...
- the grill is pretty menacing, much more so than the stock E55
Cons:
- (remembering that I had an E55 that rode on 20s and 19s at one point) the drive of the car is very stiff and on rough roads its a little annoying. Now, with the 20s and 19s on my E55, the downtown SD streets werent a cake-walk either
- The stock stereo doesnt let you easily scroll through Ipod songs, you have to go one by one alphabetically instead of my aftermarket one where could go to letters of the alphabet and pick songs that way
- not great trunk space
- No mirrors that fold in or move down when reversing
- stock, the car doesnt have the pickup that the E55 had. My stock E55 had over 500lbs of torque at low RPMs, and the C63 was not in the 5.5 Twin Turbo's class when it came to zipping past cars on a whim. However, Im not someone who is a naturally adept race-car'ish driver anyways, but with the C63 it took a lot more effort to get by cars than with my E55 (granted, my E55 after all the mods was tipping close if not more than 700lbs of torque)
All in all, I absolutely love the C63. However, I would be curious to test drive an ISF and even an M3. Reason I didnt? Was because I got a fantastic deal on my car from a MBZ dealership and didnt feel like going through the headache of trying to sell a modded up car privately. Next time, I will probably go test other cars on the market, but from the way the C63 sounds when it starts up, to the fantastic interior and stereo, to how quickly I can maneuver in and out on the freeway (with the Powerchip ECU), I am thrilled with my choice. Hope this helps.
seems like you got tricked by a salesman. =P they get the best out of everyone.
