Euro Plate whats your opinion??

So my friend has a mk6 golf and wants a euro plate. Hes thinking of getting it to say "Base Model" on it or "MK6 Golf" What do you guys think? He wants to put base model on it since its not a gti and is only a simple golf.

if he was going to put either of those id rather just put an authentic german one on there. Actually, on a stock mk6 golf I think an authentic(or random letter/number combo) euro plate would look awesome!

wouldnt it be authentic if were to be from germany and yet still say what the guy wants? they do custom plates in germany right? oh and whats the limit on characters one can put on a german plate?

thanks guys... ill let him know. a standard euro plate would look awesome. anyone know what kind of stickers are placed on the plates? Some plates go from 9-10 characters at the most.

As long as he doesn't just put the standard plates over the Euro plates... I mean I understand WHY people do this but it still looks really tacky imo

I'm too sick and tired of getting pulled over for not having a front plate... include one time a cop that was never infront of me, pulling me over walking to the front of my car then saying he pulled me over for no front plate...

i never got any flak from when i would drive my torino around, be it at the mills or gardens or anywhere really... just saying though cars look good when clean up front, shaved if you will, as goes for *****

oh I don't disagree no front plate looks with a nice smooth front end. But with how loud my exhaust,turbo spooling,and DV dump apparently are to everyone else but me, not to mention the nice big FMIC I have now I don't really need to give cops MORE of a reason to pull me over. Although to be honest ever since I came over from the Honda scene to the Euro cars I don't get that much flak from cops and the BS pull overs. Then again it's a Jetta not a GTI so I guess it's a little more on the downlow since noone modifies Jetta's since they are girl cars lawl =)
