engine swap questions.... please help

Hi I am driving a mk3 golf. It has a 2.0 8v but I want more power. Dont know if it would be better just to put turbo or engine swap to vr6 even 1.8t cuz I have heard lots of good things about those. Any advice would be helpful. Thank u.

24v vr6 do it and ur in the wrong subforum the correct one would be vws

Turbo the 8v. do not sell yourself short on the potential of a 2.0l 8v. i have one that puts 300 plus to the wheels.

I've seen many a built 8v that puts many larger motors to shame in a disgraceful way. Build what you have...

Build what u got or or go aba 16v turbo easy swap and u could find everything u need at the junkyard.

thank you very much i think i am going to stay with the 2.0 and i have found a good turbo kit. any other suggestions of what else to improve. i am new to this and could use any advice. thank you
