    Windows Phone 7 - Mango

    http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/27/w...preview-video/

I seriously think Apple is falling behind. I've had my Iphone 4 for over a month now, and I often find myself missing my Android phone.

You can't really appreciate a phone til you get to use it for daily use. I never had a WP7 as a daily driver yet, but some of the features are pretty nice on it.
Biggest annoyance is notifications system, which I cant wait to see iOS5 but dang, thats like 1.5 yrs behind for a decent notification system.

outside of the front-facing camera, apple has never really innovated any of the features. They just integrate everything flawlessly and have a great interface.

How long did they go without a flash for the camera? Or copy/paste ? or mms? I mean, MMS messaging is over 10 years old!
My signature was so old it broke all the rules :drama:

Great Interface, I'm not sure I agree. Even though I currently have an iPhone, work issued.

Apple needs to seriously bump their screen real estate up and fast.... I got a 4.3" screen and will never go back to anything under 4" (insert penis joke here)

If you don't think the interface is great, that's definitely a personal opinion, but the masses and critics would disagree with you. I've played with a couple of Android phones for work and I think they are pretty terrible (same thing goes for that stupid Chromebook. We returned that within a week.). We returned a Droid and I think we kept the Nexus for testing. And I wouldn't say Apple never innovated. What was the smartphone market like before the iPhone. The original changed everything. Android basically copied iOS and has then built on top of things from there. Window's Phone 7 is pretty nice and is definitely a unique a different approach to a mobile OS. I've played with it and liked it a lot more than Android and it's well thought out, although with having a Mac at home and all my music organized through iTunes, I doubt I would switch away to another platform at this point.

We'll, definitely not saying its bad. I'm hoping iOS5 really addresses the features that are lacking.

But competition is good Thats what drives all the companies out there.

If Android copied IOS, then Apple copied Windows Mobile back when they were on PDAs!! Why is EVERYTHING out claimed to be copied from Apple??? geezus.... Getting sick of hearing "Oh they copied this, and that, etc" well Apple copy's shit too... they just don't own up to it... Who cares if they improve something, they still copied it... LOL

    Yo, settle down.

Next time you grab an Android phone and look at it's grid of icons with the bottom icon bar etc., then compare that it iOS. Look similar? It doesn't help that Eric Schmidt was on Apple Board of Directors while they were developing that and then a little while after Android was being developed, he finally stepped down claiming there might be a conflict of interest. You think? There is some similarity to early PalmOS, and that's been widely acknowledged, but the timeline of iOS and Android is fishy.

Either way, Apple clearly sparked the modern smartphone environment with the iPhone, you really can't deny that. Now everyone borrows from one another with UI ideas and features. Look at RIM's playbook. They pretty much straight up ripped off WebOS.

I like WebOS, too bad they cant build nice hardware. Cool software, but they won't get anywhere unless HP can bring up their hardware quality.

Yeah, HP's new tablet got kinda ripped in the hardware department in recent reviews.

Apple is based on interface and the finely done characters and well placed formatting that is easy on the eyes... For techies it can get boring really fast and plain simple. I like the android because of the open market and great stuff it can do much better then any iphone.
