What does this mean? USB pop up.

So I plugged in my cam to download the pics and this pops up.
How can I use it? There are 3 usb ports on the side of my comp or is this something I need to setup with some settings?

how old is the pc or laptop? you might be using a usb 1.1 port instead of a usb 2.0 port. it should still transfer your pics, but it might be a little slow. maybe try using a different usb port?

Yeah, just means that your plugging a higher series USB into a lower series USB port . . . it should still work though.

Yeah it works no prob but kinda want to figure it out.
How can I use the 2.0? All the 3 ports tell me the same thing.

It's like a 2 year old toshiba laptop on windows 7.

your ports are probably USB 2.0 compliant....but drivers are slowing things down. Do you have the proper drivers installed?

when I plug in HDs or CAMs it lets windows look for drivers and installs them.
I go into device manager and right click let windows look for up to day drivers and
all the usb root hubs are up to day.

There are 8 root hubs and 6 universal host controllers and 2 enhanced host controllers

Yeah that usually happens because windows is looking for the driver based on the usb manufacturer specs. 90% of the time it won't find an update. I would go directly to the toshiba website and see if they have an updated driver (software patch).
