    Fishing?

I found a semi-old shimano fishing rod in my garage the other day it's a little under 6' tall.
Was wondering if anyone on here goes fishing and where might be some good spots to go where one can fish shore side. And if walmart or The Sports Authority would be a good enough place to buy some hooks, sinkers and the like... Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks!

Well its a little out of the way but Santee Lakes is the best place for shore fishing as the lakes are small. I buy most of my h/w from walmart and its plenty good quality.

Here's a report I have used before when looking for other fishing spots:

    Cool list thanks for that.
Do you think a rod that size is good enough for pier fishing as well?

I think that rod would be fine as long as you bait it for the right sized fish. Big 5 has a pretty big selection, and any of the Sport Chalet chains also. Santee lakes is fine if you're not into catching fish. Also out of the way, but RCP has some decent ponds, and also some places in Jamul.
