    HELP:MK5 Maint' Schedule

Trying to keep the wifey's 2006 Jetta 2.5L as up to date as possible as far as maintenace without taking it to the dealership. I found a PDF maintenanceschedule broken down by mileage. Seems to me that its just a bunch of "checking" and oil replacements.

I own a MK4, and I am used to ribbed belt replacements/timing belt & water pumps/etc. I know that the 2.5L uses a chain, does this mean this car is pretty much "bullet proof" when it comes to maintenance? Other than brakes/oil/top off fluids/spark plugs, what should I look out for?

I know that there are a lot of pros as well as weekend warriors here....Can anyone shed some light?
