I have been thinking of jailbreaking my I Phone and I see several programs to do it, and I was just wondering if there is one better then others out there?

the link is jailbreakme.com
Just launch it from safari on your iPhone.
FYI, it didn't work for me on the newest version of iOS even though it's supposed to. I ended up using redsn0w, and it worked like a charm!
here are some DIY links!!

And now that this is out in the open, how about we post up some Jailbreak Apps we like!
As for what Jailbreak means to you . . .
~Non approved apps such at PDAnet
~Depending on how you like your phones looks, they can be greatly altered! (ie. when rebooting, a BMW rondel rolls over my apple logo, instead of AT&T on the banner, mine says TOY, I've changed all my battery icons to blue instead of green, 5 icon dock instead of 4))
~Free apps (yes, almost every app store can be downloaded for free, but this is bad (slapping hand))
~You can unlock features (hotspot, facetime on 3G)
~You can remove limitation (folders only allowing 12 apps can now be unlimited apps)

Here's my list of Favs . . .
CyDelete . . . allows you to delete Cydia apps just like normal apps from the springboard.
SBSettings . . . swipe your banner and have access to system settings that you would normally have ot navigate throught the setting feature. Easily turn off and on, BT, WiFi, and other features.
Winterboard . . . Allows customer backgrounds, icons, and lockscreens
CyLay . . . Paid App, similar to mobileme's tracking, but way better features. I can take pictures, send messages, make alarms go off. Good tool if ever your phone went missing.
Installous . . . this is how you get free apps . . . mods, please don't lock the thread, just remove this line if it's a violation!!
My3G . . . Paid App, Fools any app into thinking you are on WiFi (including Facetime)
Infinifolders . . . Paid App, removed 12 app limit to folders
BiteSMS . . . Texting app that has a better layout than apple messenger. Allows for quick replies (no longer exit an app just cause you get a text). Also customization of the look at feel of when you get a text either in locked or unlocked mode.
For most of the paid apps there is almost always a way to get a free "cracked" version, just gotta do your research!

The one that JUST came out? 4.3.5?
EDIT: Never mind, just found the iOS 5 Beta links.![]()
It appears that RedSn0w still jailbreaks 4.3.4 . . . I'm not positive, just did a quick google on it. Try to read up on it and let us know!!

iOS 5 beta links: http://iphoneism.com/2011/07/22/down...d-touch-links/
I'm waiting for an email from them to get the iOS 5 for my iPhone 4, I already downloaded iTunes 5 beta (needed to run iOS 5).
This one tells you how to install it: http://www.thinkingcap.com.au/news/g...ing-ios-5-beta

OK, I just tried installing iOS5 without my UDID # being in the developers thing. BAD idea lol, needless to say, the warnings of "once you go to iOS5, you can't go back" didn't scare me at first but, once I got stuck trying to register the iOS5 from my phone and realizing I can't do it until my UDID # is listed, I got scared shitless!
Well, after about 10 min of freaking out that I wouldn't have a phone, I looked all over the web and found that if you put it into recovery (DFU) mode you can go back to your last restore. PHEW! HUGE bullet dodged there.
So, if you're UDID # isn't registered and you want iOS5, I'd wait till it is. Just to save you a heart attack. Live and learn I guess.![]()
Hey just a little reminder also. Once you decide on Jailbreaking . . . updating your software becomes a thing of the past. Once you update your software, you essentially lose everything that's jailbroken. Also, once a new version of iOS is released, you need to wait a few for someone to come out with a new jailbreak.

Yep, knew that, but thanks! I used redsn0w to jailbreak mine last night. I just changed some stuff up on the appearance on it. It looks pretty cool right now.
