So who is getting there copy today? I am about to head out to Fry's at lunch to pick one up. Ons sale for 34.99 today.

Oh dude, I didn't even realize it came out today. $35 for Forza is a pretty damn good deal!

I'm feel encourged based on the reviews that have been coming out. 9.2 on Gamespot (which is a better score than GT4's 8.9

). It's also a pretty good sign they rated gameplay a "10".

i picked it up right when gamestop opened this morning on the way to work. from reading through the book, its going to be pretty dope. can't wait to get home!!

Yeah I just picked it up. Looking at the manual is making me want to leave early from work. IGN gave it a 9.5 out of 10 as well.

I went to Circuit City and Best Buy and neither had it (I had to pick up an iTrip anyway, that's why I was there). Looks like GameStop will be getting a visit from me.

So I got up to level 10 last night and have been very impressed. The ability to mod the car is even more indepth than in GT4. I love how you can do engine swaps and do bodykits. The AI is also pretty hardcore.

level 10? you wuss! haha. i got up to about level 15 last night. that game is so fuckin dope! I have about 12 cars in the garage with 4 of them completely modded. the graphics are sweet, the replays look like you're watching speed channel or something!

Damn. My wife was nagging me so I only got to play about 1:30. But I have about 10 cars but having a hard time deciding which ones to fully mod. There are so many in the game it is amazing. I love how you can pretty much test drive any car like in PGR. I wish I was able to play live but since my xbox is modded I am out of luck there.

shit, i actually thought about calling in sick so i could stay home and get in some quality playing time. i ended up coming to work though and now i'm wishing i hadn't! lol

Well, you have to do what Rob does, give her warning. He told me months ago about this game. And he was like "When Forza comes out, you need to get a book or have something to do because I'm going to be playing constantly". So I ordered some yoga DVDs and I'm reading this eBook. The only thing that bugs me is when he stays playing for several nights in a row. So as long as he comes to bed with me every few nights, I'm cool.

I warned her about early as well. She does like the fact that it is cheap entertainment compared to my other car hobbies. I will definitely need to get some quality playing time tonight though. I just need to figure out how to configure my modded xbox now to play on live. Have you used the live feature yet Rob?

sweet. i've had the dreaded "dirty disc" problem on my xbox for a while, usually off and on, but today, the xbox decides to pretty much give up reading the disc. so now i have to pick up a new one, which is no big deal, except, you can't copy the forza data to a memory card. i guess i'll be starting over tomorrow night after i pick up a new system!

Damn that sucks. I am running it completely off my harddrive right now. Hey you know you can get your xbox repaired instead of replaced. They can swap out whatever component is damaged in about an hour. If you were up here in the BAy Area I could tell you where to go to get it fixed. Got to level 13 btw. Only got to play for a couple hours last night.

everything i've been reading online has been advising against getting it just repaired because you often end up with another crappy dvd drive. i'm just going to go later today and trade in some old games to offset the cost. i might even be able to sell gamespot or EB my old xbox for them to refurbish and resell, so it won't be that bad. just the fact that i have to start over on the game!

Yeah it does suck losing all your progress but I am sure you will catch up with me in about a day or so.
