So was looking around at tracks and was wondering if Fontana is the last of the 1/4 mile strips in SoCal with test and tune days?

Does Pomona still do open events?

Irwindale does Thursday nights but its 1/8 mile.

yeah looking for a 1/4 ....will have to wait until March it looks like...Fontana (auto Club Speedway) they do 1/4 mile open track first Saturday of the month.

Thanks.....Irwindale is 5 miles from my work so I guess that will do for most times.... I just miss the days of LACR and Pomona

Well made it to Irwindale tonight and only saw 2 other Euro's there... 1 E36 M3 and a black super clean black with dark tint A3 Wagon 2.0T. Other than that it was Bigblock and Honda's......able to get 7 runs in and got to blow off some steam.

A Superior Court has suspended operation of the Auto Club Dragway. The suspension results from a successful challenge of a San Bernardino County sound standard by a group of concerned residents. San Bernardino County officials had approved an amendment to the County Sound Standard in 2010 to accommodate louder sound arising from races at the Dragway. The Superior Court found that the underlying Environmental Impact Report which the County relied on to approve the sound standard amendment was not sufficient.


We are currently reviewing the court ruling and evaluating our options moving forward. We hope to have more detailed information about our future operations at the Dragway soon.

This just is angering though......people complain about street racing (and I do not condone it) but when you force the tracks closed you encourage people to do stupid things.
