Re: Painting my BBS RC's
Here is when I did my RC's white

Rattle can is great do a few light coats nothing heavy and you should be good to go.
You think you have lag? It took Jesus 3 days to respawn.

Re: Painting my BBS RC's
Take your time. If they're media blasted, that will make your life a LOT easier. Just don't rush it. Lay a coat of primer or two as well. One thing I've used as well is a spray known as BullDog. It helps adhesion when you lay the paint on.
I drive crap. Expensive crap...

Those look pretty good! Did you clear coat them? How often do you have to clean them and how hard is it to keep them that way?

I had a fellow SoCalEuro member attempt to media blast them a week or so ago, but it seemed like it wasn't course enough, as we only got 2 square inches done in like 20 minutes of blasting. I don't know much about sandblasting but is there a type of media or whatever, you recommend?
Thanks.

Re: Painting my BBS RC's
Have a pro do it. Those DIY kits are nothing compared to the real deal. When I was helping at Gorilla Sand Blasting in Lancaster, we could do a SET of wheels in 20 minutes. They were using either silica in the walk in space-man suit booth, or plasti-bead in the small cabinet.

No clear coat. And I wash my car once a week. Just keep cleaning them normally.

Re: Painting my BBS RC's
you don't need the adhesion promoter, that's usually reserved for plastics. If you blast them, I suggest a high build primer and a few light coats in an x pattern spray pattern.
Basically follow the instructions on the paint.

True, blasted metal will take primer and paint just fine...
