Primary Cooling fan broken :/
Hey everyone,
I've been abroad volunteering and right before i left i dropped $1250 on the timing belt job and the leaky cams on my mrk4 gli. I got it fixed in lake forest by one of the two mechanics that are recommended there. thing is he called me and told me that the fan had stopped, i do not know how long it as been that way but i want to try and get it fixed before im back in the states. Both Canyon racer motorsports and Pacific German are quoting me more than $400 for the fix
. the actual fan blades seem to be in good shape so I am guessing the motor is what seized, does anyone have any input? is that a reasonable price to pay or what should i do?
thanks in advance.

$400 sounds hefty to me. How much labor are they charging you?

i dont know tobe honest. i remember him saying it would be 350 if i had it done when he was doing my timing belt but 400+ if i had it done later on.
