    chipping my car--need a lil help

    i am going to chip my car in a lil bit so i was wondering wut chips do u guys have on ur 1.8T's? also how much did u get it for? from where? and also how much power did u get out of it? i kno thats a lot so THANKS A LOT

    If I remember right you plug in the flux capaciter into the fegoni wiring, poor 5 cups of water on the chip and then drive off.

    u sure its 5 cups, i was told atleast 6

    Actually I remember, you take the whole chip out and soak it in water for 36 hours. Once fully soaked immediatly plug it back in without drying it off and start the car.

    I had a whole bunch of chips in my car....Damn Ruffles spilled everywhere after the bbq this weekend!

    Personally....just save the money and get a gt-28. Or if you really want it, be sure to get an extra ECU

    no chipping involved...just a quick re-programming of the ECU

    i have revo and love it. i don't have any of the sps devices yet, but they're not necessary unless you want to change timing, go back to stock, etc...

    icc the SPS 1 is the one i wanna get which changes between the stock and performance mode which is all i need cuz im not going to change anything else, plus its only $200 compared to $500 for the normal chip

    I think most of it's going to be personal preference, There's a ton of other threads on the vortex about it. I wouldn't try to save money on a chip though. This is something that you want to make sure is done right. If you decide GIAC, then give Jeff Moss a call.

    icc thanks for the info, only problem is i need a chip that will flash my ecu, not replace it or be soldered onto my existing one.

    No really "Best" chip... People say APR tends to run conservative and GIAC tends to run aggressive (I've ran both in my car). I've heard good things about AMS program also.
