Sandisk Ultra are my memory cards of choice. I usually watch fatwallet.com for deals. Dell has some good ones, as you know.
Stick with big names like Gitzo or Manfrotto for tripods. This is one are you don't want to skimp on. Go to the Calumet store in Escondido, they have a good selection and good prices. They have a good inventory so you can fondle the tripods before you buy.
Any other local camera stores ?

Dang, my tripod only cost $40, and I'm satisfied.
i picked up dynatran tripod legs from ebay for around $50, then picked up a nice bogen ball head at my local store for around $70. I love my setup.
stay away from the vertical pistol grip heads. They wear out fast.
I'd recomend the dynatran any day of the week. Just make sure and tighten all of the bolts / screws down when you get it.
My signature was so old it broke all the rules :drama:
Bogen and Gitzo(only one die-hard Leica owners use) are great tripods, i have a Hakuba Carbon Fiber i got for 150!! Looks great, feels great, works great. if you ever come up to the OC my friend owns a store called Camerawest in Mission Viejo, very competative prices, tons of tripods and heads.
