yeah i test drove the 9-3 but was dissapointed in the amount of turbo lag. I give a bit of that to the auto tranny on the one I test drove but still...anyway, I'm sure there's somethings you could do like a down pipe to get the turbo to spool faster.

With all the choices for turbos out there, there should be NO excuse for measurable lag. I find this disapointing in Saab.

They could easily raise the compression, pick a turbo with a bit smaller AR and have a very responsive 200-250hp car.

I've put a K&N filter and that helped lessen the lag a little. But, on those hot days, that lag is really noticable. Nothing's worse than making a left turn into a busy intersection and the car's totally bogging in first.... then the BOOST kicks in.... a real jekyl & hyde.
